Nikon’s D5500 has picked up an award from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), receiving honours in the European Consumer DSLR Camera 2015-2016 category.It is the second award the D5500 has picked up this year, having in April received recognition from the Technical Image Press Association, claiming the Best Digital SLR Entry Level award.

The D5500 sports an effective pixel count of 24.2 MP, and features an Expeed 4 image-processing engine and a DX-format CMOS sensor, built without an optical low-pass filter. It features a touchscreen vari-angle LCD monitor, and is additionally equipped with built-in Wi-Fi.
