Nintendo fans hoping that the Switch OLED was just a stopgap before the release of the much-touted Switch Pro are set to be solely disappeared, as Nintendo announces they have no such plans.
Rumours of the Pro began in March, when Bloomberg reported a forthcoming Switch with a larger OLED screen, and 4K output support. Bloomberg also wrote that the Pro would be revealed ahead of E3.
Considering all this came true, aside from the 4K output, it was expected that the OLED was a different machine to the one that Bloomberg announced, and that a more impressive model was still on the way.
Nintendo poured water on these rumours, saying “We just announced that Nintendo Switch(OLED Model) will launch in October, 2021, and have no plans for launching any other model at this time.”

The company also denied reports it is set to make a larger profit margin on the OLED version, but they would, wouldn’t they?
