Samsung and Apple’s CEO have met for their court mandated meeting and after 16 hours of discussions, they’ve failed to come to an agreement.
The judge-supervised meeting was between Apple CEO Tim Cook, Samsung’s CEO Choi Gee-Sun and the head of Samsung’s mobile division, Shin Jong-Kyun. Presided by Judge Joseph C Spero, it lasted for 9 hours on Monday and an additional 7 hours on Tuesday.
Judge Lucy Koh arranged the meeting and was hopeful Samsung and Apple could come to an agreement concerning the ongoing patent litigation between the two companies, which was sparked by allegations Samsung’s Galaxy 10.1 is a “slavish imitation” of Apple’s iPad.
Unfortunately that was not the case, and it looks like the two will be going to trial in July.
