Electrolux has introduced a new tumble dryer with special steam cycles which claim to reduce, or even eliminate, the need to iron or dry clean your clothes.
Featuring ‘Iron Aid’ technology, the dryer uses steam to reduce and remove wrinkles and creases – up to five wrinkle free shirts can be produced in just 20 minutes, the company says.
Electrolux also claims Iron Aid can refresh, deodorise and de-wrinkle clothes, including dry clean only garments, such as suits and jackets. A silk suit or two woollen jackets or trousers can be refreshed in 20 minutes, according to the company.
The new dryer is equipped with sensors, so that Iron Aid will automatically dry wet clothes, prior to de-wrinkling.
“Not only does Iron Aid significantly reduce ironing time, but the cycle helps relax the textile fibres, making it much easier to iron clothing,” says Electrolux’s Nick Gibson.
An iron-free life doesn’t come cheaply at an RRP of $2108, so it is worth getting a demo before handing over your money!
