Nokia announced that its Ovi Store has now reached 3.5 million downloads per day. This is up from 3 million downloads announced three weeks ago.

Locally, Australia takes the No.4 spot globally for purchases made on the Store and No.3 for revenue.
According to Nokia Australia, the top five apps downloaded from the Ovi Store locally in Australia are: Angry Birds, QTorch, Need for Speed, Marble Maze Classic and AccuWeather.
In addition, the company said that 250,000 users sign up daily to Ovi, 400,000 new developers signed up to Nokia this year and that there were 1.5 million downloads of the Qt SDKs in 2010.
