Also being developed by Nokia is what they are calling a Liquid phone. Designer Rune Larsen says it has a liquid layer between your fingers and the touchscreen. He says he is trying to right a wrong with touchscreen technology, which as it stands has a disregard for tactile feedback. The Liquid phone uses a small pump to fill a substrate beneath the screen that gives users’ fingers something to feel and press, which alleviates our need to have something tangible to press, says the designer.
