Its official, Angry Birds is THE King Of Distraction. And the cult game is about to hit the silver screen, makers Rovio confirmed today. This great news comes as Rovio General Manger, Andrew Stalbow, revealed to Web 2.0 conference yesterday how the game is officially king of mobile gaming

In fact, it has now surpassed 400 million downloads, no mean feat for the company whose game titles flopped 50 times before it had a hit.
This also means it scored a phenomenal 50 million downloads in just one month – back in September Stalbow told Disrupt conference in San Francisco it had hit the 350 million milestone.
And what a hit it has been, so far. Angry Birds has now gone into merchandise with T Shirts and even a TV channel.
Stalbow also told Web 2.0 audience of Birds fascinating flight to the top perch since its launch: 130 million monthly users, 30m active users daily, and gamers are playing 300m minutes every day.
Rovio also confirmed what everyone already knew – that a Birds movie is in the pipeline executive with David Maisel producer of Iron Man 2, and Captain America.
But that not all the gamer has up its sleeve: a brand new bird to play with is coming to the game for Halloween.
