Chinese handset company Oppo is expanding its Australian presence via a new partnership with supermarket giant Woolworths. The partnership will see the company’s latest smartphones – the F1s, R9 and R9 Plus – all make their way into the supermarket chain.The announcement was part
of the company’s launch event for the F1s, which touts an 1.5gHz octa-core
processor and 3GB of RAM, all bundled together in a lavish golden shell-design
with a 5.5-inch display atop it.
According to Oppo Australia’s chief marketing officer Michael Tran, “Our
partnership with Woolworths will get more of our premium devices into the hands
of customers nationwide. While we’re still a relatively young player in the
Australian market, we are quickly becoming one of the leading brands for
affordable premium smartphones.”
The F1s is available at Woolies on a $35/month plan or outright through JB
Hi-Fi for $349. – Channel News
