Olympus Camera Adds Artistic Touch

Olympus has announced a new line of digital cameras that come with different filters to create artistic shots.

The Mju 7020 sports a 12-megapixel CCD and TruePic III image processing engine, a 3-inch LCD monitor, 7x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle, Magic Filters that turn everyday scenes into unique images, and a HDMI connector with HDTV compatibility.

Capturing the essence of Olympus’ powerful Art Filter technology developed specifically for the advanced E-30 and E-620 digital SLR cameras and new PEN camera, four new Magic Filters – Pop, Pinhole, Sketch and Fish-eye – turn daily scenes into compelling images.

The camera’s exciting new AF Tracking works to increase the ease of shooting fast moving subjects. By keeping moving subjects in crystal clear focus and providing optimum brightness, users can capture the ultimate shot simply by pressing the shutter button at any time during tracking.

The Mju 7020 is due for release in Australia in September 2009 and will be available in dark grey, silver and red.
