Olympus aims to make photography a point and shoot affair with the launch of an ‘intelligent’ 10-megapixel camera that can handle any shooting situation.
And with a proprietary Face Detect & Shadow Adjust technology, users can be sure to have properly exposed subjects and sceneries. A large, 3-inch HyperCrystal LCD monitor is also incorporated in the camera’s design for easy shooting.
In addition, the Mju 1060 features Olympus’ Dual Shakeproof CCD-shift image stabilisation system and high-ISO sensitivity to compensate for camera shake and subject motion that can cause blurring, particularly on high-power telephoto shots. High quality image are also assured by the camera’s high-definition 10.1 megapixel CCD, and Olympus’ exclusive TruePic III image processor that claims to accurately reproduce true-to-life colours.
The Mju 1060 also offers:
· Pre-capture movie function to ensure fewer missed shots
· In-camera panorama image compositing with on-screen guide for camera movement
· 3D GUI
· Universal Colour Design authentication for easier visibility for the sight impaired
· Micro SD memory card recording and playback supported via MASD-1 Micro SD adapter
The Mju 1060 comes in piano black and will be available from September 2008 for $449.
