This DSLR incorporates three of Olympus’ most popular Art Filters: Pop Art which vividly enhances colours with excellent tonal detail retention, Soft Focus which enhances portrait and still-life images with ethereal soft tones, and Pin Hole which effectively recreates the vignetted and colour-altered appearance of pictures taken with popular toy-cameras.
The Art Filters enable users to easily apply unique creative photographic effects, without the need for special lenses, optical filters and/or complex image processing. All three Art Filters can be conveniently previewed in LiveView before shooting.
The E-450 also uses High-Speed Imager AutoFocus, making auto-focusing during Live View shooting as easy and carefree as it is with a compact digital camera.
It also incorporates Shadow Adjustment (SAT) control which creates the optimal balance between the brightness of human faces and background scenery.
This technology works in conjunction with the camera’s Face Detection function – which detects up to 8 human faces and keeps focus accurately placed on the portrait subjects – and separately adjusts the exposure of each component.
