With Nokia revenue heading in one direction (down), the Finnish company has been left red faced after it was revealed that One Direction band members who cut a deal with Nokia to sponsor their phones six months ago have already dropped the struggling brand.Instead band members Louis, Zayn, and Liam use a Blackberry while Harry uses an iPhone. According to a Nokia spoksperson the band cut a deal with the Company for smartphones back in September 2011.
“That sponsorship deal is now over” the spoksperson said.
During a recent Sydney Harbour boat trip and while stopping at Mosman for a swim, the boys were seen using their Blackberry and iPhone smartphones as opposed to a Nokia phone.

A member of their touring party said “They have their UK SIMS set up for global roaming along with all their contacts. It makes sense that they are using their own phones”.
No explanation has been given as to why the band dropped their Nokia C3 and C202 touch and type handsets which came with One Direction content – pictures, ringtones and behind-the-scenes videos.
Last night Nokia shares dropped 15% after the Company announced poor sales and a $165M Loss for the last two quarters.
