Following Oppo’s R11s & R11s Plus announcement late last year, the company has revealed its new “hero” phones will land in Australia on February 5th.
The company revealed the devices’ local launch date via their Facebook page today, and through an email blast to their subscribers yesterday.
The new R11s & R11s Plus are heralded Oppo’s latest flagship smartphones, incorporating many features seen within the iPhone X – e.g. dual camera setup, facial recognition and more – thereby bringing flagship specs at a more affordable price.
The devices are an upgrade to the formerly released R11.
Both devices feature a 1080P 18:9 AMOLED screen – the R11s is just over 6-inches, whilst the Plus version is just under 6 & 1/2 inches.
Both incorporate 64GB of storage and are run by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660. The Plus version sports 6GB of RAM, whilst the standard version has 4GB.
Rear dual camera set up (16MP f/1.7 and a 20MP f/1.7) is the same on both devices.
R11s and R11s Plus feature a 3200mAh battery and 4000mAh respectively.
The phones come in black, red and champagne, however, as per norm its unlikely all colours will be available at all retailers.
Australian pricing is yet to be formally announced. One or both devices will be available to purchase from JB Hi-Fi, Woolworths and Officeworks, plus from individual carriers such as Virgin, Optus and Vodafone.
