Telstra has partnered with The Oprah Winfrey Show by announcing that it will provide 300 of Oprah’s viewers and production crew with mobile phones, USB modems as well as network support during their stay in Australia.
Telstra Chief Marketing Officer, Kate McKenzie, said that Telstra was proud to partner with “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and will be providing a Motorola Defy Smartphone running on Telstra’s Next G network for the viewers being flown to Australia for the show; Telstra Mobile Broadband Ultimate USB modems for “Oprah” show field producers, and network support during two live shows at the Sydney Opera House on 14 December.
“We look forward to connecting more than 300 of Oprah’s most loyal viewers with Australia and the world through Telstra’s Next G network when they arrive on our shores in December. With a global audience across 145 countries we are delighted to partner with ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ and help showcase the very best Australia has to offer,” said McKenzie.
Telstra also announced that there will be a small team of “Next G Angels” that will assist Oprah show audience members and crew by answering their technology questions and providing tech support during the set up of the shows.
