Optus has added to its pre-season football offerings, with the telco to broadcast the upcoming friendly match between Italian football champions Juventus and the English Premier League’s West Ham United.The match, to be hosted by West Ham at its new ground, Olympic Stadium in London, will be broadcast live and exclusive via Optus Sport, with Optus stating it will be broadcast across a range of platforms, from television to mobile.
The match will be delivered at no extra cost to customers who have subscribed to access the Premier League with Optus.
“We are excited to offer customers access to a growing range of football content, including exclusive matches, news, analysis and results, all with the flexibility to enjoy it on their favourite device when it suits them best,” Paul Rybicki, Optus head of TV mobile video & content, commented.
“Whether it’s keeping up with match results on a smartphone at lunch or catching up on all the latest action on the big screen via Yes TV by Fetch, Optus has football fans covered.”
