Optus Slashes Mobile Broadband Prices

Optus announced new wireless broadband plans that come with increased data allowances and lower excess usage charge.

New Optus My Wireless Plans

The ‘My Wireless’ plan range includes five new Optus Wireless Broadband (OWB) plans available on 12 month contracts, with prices starting at $15 per month for 1GB of data or $55 per month for 7GB.  The company has also reduced its excess usage charge down to 6 cents per MB.

General Manager of Optus Consumer Products, Jeremiah de la Cruz said, “We’ve seen the popularity of wireless broadband increase over the last few years and have recognised the demand from our customers for more data to be included in their plans. My Wireless plans meet this demand by offering almost twice the data of our existing OWB plan range and also cut the excess usage charge of 15 cents per MB down to 6 cents per MB.”

‘My Wireless’ plans are available to new Optus Wireless Broadband customers as 12 month contracts. After the initial 12 month contract term, the included data will be reduced but customers can freely choose the best plan available at the end of 12 months.
