Optus has teamed up with accommodation service Airbnb as it seeks to keep travellers connected while overseas.The partnership will see Optus customers new to Airbnb able to redeem one $50 voucher for any booking over $100, with the voucher available from today.
Australian guests new to Airbnb can also get a free $30 prepaid SIM to use on international roaming when they book a property with Airbnb.
“Providing travellers with a little extra credit before they take off will give them one less thing to worry about,” Rohan Ganeson, managing director, customer, Optus, commented.
“Travel is so exciting, but untangling an overseas mobile plan can be a frustrating experience. We partnered with Airbnb to take down this barrier and help travellers feel like a local as soon as they land.”
The partnership will additionally see “ambitious offers soon to be released”, leading into 2016.
