XBox is to auction the historic Halo 2 advertisement that took over the Kings Cross Coca -Cola sign, to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Divided into eight pieces, each piece of the Halo 2 advertisement will be accompanied by a commemorative plaque including a photo of the Halo 2 Coke sign. The plaques will be personally signed by the team at the game’s US developer, Bungie Studios. Eight pieces of the Halo 2 sign will be auctioned once every five days, starting on Monday 13 February on eBay.
XBox National Marketing Manager, Richard Hirst, said “Being able to support a great charity like Make-A-Wish and, at the same time, offering the Halo enthusiasts around the world something special is just fantastic. We have no idea how high the bidding will go for each piece but I am pretty confident the huge Halo 2 logo piece and the piece featuring Master Chief’s head will be much sought after.”
