The DMC-LX3 allows manual control for advanced photography; as well as allowing users to take perfect shots using Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto (iA) mode, where the camera makes settings intuitively.
In iA mode the camera does all the work, activating Mega O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser), Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Intelligent Exposure. This leaves the user free to compose the shot and press the shutter button.
The DMC-FZ28 features an 18x optical zoom to capture distant subjects or take close-ups; while its 27mm wide-angle lens is ideal for both broad landscapes and tight indoor shots, letting photographers capture a wider view.
10.1 megapixel resolution ensures the expansive images taken with this camera can be enlarged while still retaining outstanding detail.
“Photographers can simply select iA mode and let the camera do the work while they compose the shot,” Alistair Robins, Category Marketing Manager, Mobile AV, Panasonic Australia. “If they prefer, the DMC-FZ28 has joystick control that allows quick adjustment of manual focus, exposure and other settings. In addition, 37 Scene Modes provide the optimal settings in any shooting situation.
The DMC-FZ28 automatically activates the backlight compensation function if it detects that the light source is behind the subject. Face detection accuracy has also been increased, allowing continuous AF/AE adjustment even if a face moves or turns sideways to the camera.
The DMC-FX38 takes Panasonic’s intuitive Intelligent Auto (iA) mode a step further with the new AF tracking function; as well as offering versatile photography with a mega wide angle 25mm LEICA lens and a powerful 5x optical zoom.
“Intelligent Auto Mode activates simultaneous automatic features for mistake-free photography,” said Robins. “The iA suite of intuitive technologies now includes AF (autofocus) Tracking, which automatically tracks a moving subject once the autofocus has been set, making it even easier to capture sharp, well-focused photographs. We’ve also further fine-tuned iA with enhancements to existing modes.”
The unit offers our mega wide-angle 25mm lens, so you capture images with amazing width and depth. In addition, a 5x optical zoom and three creative new scene modes make it a camera that produces outstanding results as well as being easy and enjoyable to use.”
