The new 3D TVs, the TH-P65VT20A and P58VT20A, will arrive this month in time for the AFL grand final. These TVs offer 600Hz technology, dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, DLNA-networking, USB HDD playback and recording, as well as Skype voice and video calling capabilities. The Series also features VIERA CAST, a function that lets users view Internet content in their living rooms and also gain access to micro-blogging service Twitter.

Panasonic Australia’s Director for Consumer Electronics, Paul Reid said, “AFL fans who can’t make it to the MCG can enjoy a rich, clear and realistic viewing experience thanks to Panasonic’s Neo Plasma 3D technology, ensuring that they don’t miss a single second of the Grand Final action.”

Panasonic has also announced a new Blu-ray player that can play 3D movies, offer internet content streaming and DLNA functionality. It comes with a UniPheir LSI chip that produces 3D images in Full HD, Adaptive Chroma Upsampling that upscales DVD content to 1080p and provides access to Internet content using Viera Cast. Using DLNA technology, the DMP-BDT100 can access content stored on compatible devices. An SD Card slot is also available for viewing images or AVCHD video files.
