Panasonic plays catch up with LG and Samung, bringing Ovation Channel to Smart TVs

Ovation, Australia’s first dedicated arts channel, currently on Foxtel, is now hitting Pana TVs on its VIERA Connect platform.
The arts channel adds to the content already on cloud-based Viera platform including Quickflix, Bigpond Movies, Skype and Yahoo!7’s PLUS7.
The Aussie arty channel shows from the world of classical music, literature, documentaries, up close segments on artists and performers, and premium global events on pay-per-view.
Shows featured on the Specialty Channel this week include ‘Helmut Lotti Goes Classic: Blue Album’ and ‘Celtic Thunder: Voyage’
However, it is available on Panasonic 2012/2011 TVs only.
Subscription to Ovation costs $10 for one month or $27 per quarter and is already available on Samsung and LG Smart TVs.
