TV giant suffered online attack, forcing it to redirect its site.
Panasonic Australia’s site consumer blog was breached on Thursday last the giant confirmed.
The breach was visible online for 2-4 hours and redirected users to a static page, forcing Pana to take down the entire local site and redirect to its global address.
However, “no transactional or customer information is available on these subdomains,” Panasonic said in a statement to Current.
However, the .com.au site appears to be back up and running today including its consumer blog.
The company is not aware of the identity of the hackers at present but suspect it is nothing more than ‘online vandalism.’
