Pana has remastered the LUMIX DMC-GM1 Compact System Camera
The redesigned DMC-GM1, the latest CSC, just announced uses the same high-performance image sensor as its new cousin, the DMC-GX7, which has already received rave reviews.
The standout features of Pana’s new Compact cam includes: retractable interchangeable lens, built-in flash and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n),
And not to mention the DMC-GM1’s pocketable design, featuring the classic Rangefinder look and aluminium dials. The shutter is 80 per cent smaller then the GX7, and uses a motor instead of a spring.

GM1 supports high resolution Full-HD 1920 x 1080 50i video recording in AVCHD or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) format.This compact cam will also record high quality Dolby Digital sound on videos.
The Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) lets you instantly share pics with mates via Facebook, Instagram, and mobile devices.
iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, Contrast AF for focusing, with higher accuracy than Phase Difference AF, MEGA OIS (Optical Image Stabiliser) to shoot clear shots in low-lit situations, suppressing the blur caused by hand shake.

Panasonic has designed the new LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA OIS (H-FS12032) for the DMC-GM1, with silver and black colour options to match the camera body.
The camera, available in December retails for $999, which is sold as a kit with LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA OIS lens.

The DMC-GM1 will suit a much broader range of consumers – from camera and photography enthusiasts, to people looking to step up to a Compact System Camera, says Doug Campbell, Lumix Product Marketing Manager.
Pana has also announced plans for the commercialisation of a new digital interchangeable lens – the LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm / F1.7 ASPH. – complying with the Micro Four Thirds System standard.
