Following today’s announcement that Netflix will be launching in the Australian market on March 24, Panasonic has advised that its Viera range of smart TVs will be Netflix-capable upon launch.Netflix will be supported by the 2014 range of Panasonic smart TVs, and will also be supported by selected Panasonic Blu-ray products.
Panasonic has additionally advised that its upcoming 2015 range of Viera smart TVs, smart Blu-ray players and recorders will also be Netflix-capable.
“Access to internet content is becoming increasingly important to our consumers,” commented Richard Tassone, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Group director.
“According to recent research, one in eight Australian households have a smart TV, which is almost a six-fold increase over the last four years. We believe the introduction of services like Netflix will help to increase smart TV penetration and connectivity in the home.”
Panasonic TV models that will support Netflix upon launch include:

Panasonic’s Blu-ray Netflix-capable models include: BDT460, BDT360, BDT160, BD91 and BD81.
