Pandora is expanding its internet radio service in both the Australian market and the connected car, today announcing the availability of its mobile app across a range of new BMW vehicles.Under the partnership with BMW, all 2014 BMW models equipped with BMW’s ConnectedDrive services will be able to stream Pandora via the iPhone app.
Pandora’s personalised radio functions are operated by the vehicle’s steering wheel buttons and onboard monitor once the iPhone is connected to the vehicle.
The Pandora iPhone app is available for free from Apple’s App Store.
“Pandora’s aim is to be integrated into more than two thirds of all new Australian vehicles by the end of 2015, and our partnership with BMW is the latest exciting addition to our growing automotive portfolio,” commented Pandora ANZ director of business development Rick Gleave.
Pandora, which counts Ford, Holden, Mazda and Nissan among its local partners, states more automotive partners are due to launch throughout the year.
