SYDNEY – Online payments service PayPal plans to launch a system under which Australians who owe money to a friend, family member or co-worker can pay them back via PayPal.PayPal will allow users to send a link via text,
e-mail, chat service or social media post to people who owe them money, asking
them to pay up. The recipient can click on the link and pay instantly –
provided they already have a PayPal account.

A transaction fee will be levied if the recipient pays with a credit card
instead of a bank account linked to PayPal.
