Pioneer has launched a sound station that has already been snapped up by Apple for its Australian shops network.

The device taps into user’s iTunes music library or via can access home media networks through DLNA technology.
Pioneer said that the device can be used multiroom with content simultaneously streamed from one device to multiple X-SMC3 devices in different rooms.
A free app compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads allows users to manage their music remotely via Bluetooth.
Pioneer’s new sound station also offers USB input, AM/FM radio, Aux (3.5mm) input, and optional Bluetooth music streaming via an external Bluetooth receiver.
To have Bluetooth built in, enthusiasts can look to the X-SMC5, which also offers CD/DVD playback and has an HDMI output, enabling DVD playback on a connected screen. Standard video will also benefit from 1080p upscaling for enhanced image quality.
