Just when Playstation users have time to engage in a spot of gaming over Easter, Sony has announced that their Playstation network is down with speculating that it could be the work of hacking group Annonymous. A source has said and that the network could be down for days.
Users in Australia found out this morning that they are unable to log in to the PlayStation Network. This is the second time that this has happened this month.
Sony, who are known for their poor communication on Playstation issues, have in the vaguest of terms acknowledge that there is a problem -“We’re aware certain functions of PlayStation Network are down” they said.
This statement was issued 12 hours ago and there’s still no word of either a rectification or an explanation for the outage. The error code provided by the console is, as seen above.
PSN is acknowledging on its EU blog that the network outage may be a result of “the possibility of targeted behaviour by an outside party.” Still no ETA for when services will be restored.
