First we had Kleenmaid pushing its “Ferrari Red” kitchen rangehood, now Porsche has teamed up with Smeg to release its own range of racing rangehoods.
The new F.A.Porsche range of rangehoods are designed to be sleek in style and powerful in performance.
Claiming to remove 1000 cubic metres of air per hour, this rangehood has an inbuilt sensor to automatically switch on when it detects steam and cooking vapours. If it’s already switched on, it will accelerate air extraction.
The air refresh feature runs the extractor at low speed for 10 minutes every 50 minutes while the delay timer control automatically switches the appliance off 10 minutes after cooking has finished, the company says.
A filter maintenance alarm will let you know when its time to clean the stainless steel/aluminium dishwasher-safe grease filters. The body itself is wall-mounted with an aluminium composite skin, which Smeg says contributes to the silent operation of the rangehood’s motor.
The rangehoods are 90cm wide and come in racing car red, blue, black and matt aluminium. They carry a two year in-home warranty on parts and labour.
