Presto is expanding its documentary content offering, today announcing it will be adding a package of almost 100 hours to its catalogue under an agreement with BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand.Comprising a range of programming, the documentaries will become available on Presto TV and Presto Entertainment from July 16.
Among the documentaries set to feature are the Michael Palin series Brazil with Michael Palin, exploring the cultures of Brazil, and Michael Palin’s New Europe, in which Palin travels to 20 countries that were once behind the Iron Curtain.
The Stephen Fry series Fry’s Planet Word, a series about language, will also feature, with Australia with Simon Reeve, Joanna Lumley – The Quest for Noah’s Ark, An African Journey with Jonathan Dimbleby and a number of Louis Theroux documentaries also set to arrive on Presto.
“The BBC is a prolific producer of high-quality documentary programming and we are thrilled to offer our subscribers a terrific selection of their programming which they can stream on demand,” Presto interim CEO Shaun James commented.
