Primus Telecom is offering a free trial of Internet phone calls to thousands of Victorians.
As of yesterday, the Primus Internet Phone trial was made available through The Age. The trial provides two weeks of free use with up to four hours of total talk time.
Calls can be made to landlines in Australia and to 15 other countries.
Anyone wishing to test the service needs to have a broadband connection, a compatible PC and a headset. The software for Primus’ VoIP service, TalkBroadband, then needs to be installed on the PC.
Anyone wishing to participate in the trial needs to buy a copy of The Age to gets a free headset and CD.
