Razer’s have launched their new 17-inch Razer Blade Pro, which they say is their lightest and thinnest desktop gaming notebook yet.According to the company, the new Blade has been redesigned from the
ground up and “made specifically for enthusiasts and power users who
want desktop performance but don’t want to sacrifice portability.”
They’re touting as VR-ready with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, an Intel
Core i7-6700HQ Quad-Core Processor and 32 GB of Dual-Channel System
Memory
It’s also packing 2TB of solid state storage and a 17.3-inch Ultra HD multi-touch display.
In addition, the Razer Blade Pro is the Razer’s first notebook to
feature the brand’s Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches – which each
work to mimick the feel of full-size mechanical keyboards through the
use of true actuation and reset points. The lighting on the keyboard can
also be customised and synchronised at an in-game level.
“The original 17-inch Blade was the first laptop that truly blended
power and portability in a PC,” said Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan.
“We’ve taken that approach another step further with the new Razer
Blade Pro. The thermal engineering behind it is staggering. It’s
incredible how far we’ve come, from having one product and a small team,
to today, with a full catalog of gaming systems and a large group of
engineers and designers pushing what a portable gaming machine can do.”
The Razer Blade Pro is coming to US and European customers in November for an RRP of US$3,699.
Australian pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
