The Foxtel Online TV Guide is now available to view on iPhone, free from the App Store, and comes with full Remote Record functionality. With this application, iPhone users will be able to download the Mobile Foxtel Guide application to view its Online TV Guide, providing information on its extensive range of programming up to 14 days in advance.
Foxtel’s Executive Director of Product and Sales, Patrick Delany said, “FOXTEL’s Online TV Guide and the Remote Record functionality have been a wonderful addition to our service and by making these features available to iPhone users, subscribers will now get even more benefits from their FOXTEL.”
“iPhone popularity has soared since its Australian release, and it’s largely due to the phone having so many more uses than just receiving and making calls. Now one of the things an iPhone can do is search for favourite TV shows, program the Foxtel iQ, set Reminder Alerts, and many more handy functions from Foxtel’s 14 Day Online Guide,” added Delany.
The Mobile Foxtel Guide application allows users to: add channels to a favourites list for quick access, search for a program by name (or partial name), view a short summary about each show, set a Remote Record and also send Reminder Alerts for programs.
Reminder Alerts are sent via push notification 15 minutes before your favourite show begins at no extra charge. The Alerts contain the name of the show, the channel and what time it starts.
To download the Mobile Foxtel Guide application, simply visit the App Store from your iPhone and search for Foxtel.
The application is totally free and available to both Foxtel subscribers and everyone else. For more information visit www.foxtel.com.au/discover/mobile/mobile-tv-guide/default.htm
