Australian retailers who sold the Baumatic range of European appliances could be facing a multimillion dollar warranty exposure after the Company was placed into administration.
In Australia Baumatic is imported and serviced by Think Appliances Pty Ltd, Company executives are not returning calls. Retailers who have sold the Companies products could be forced to take liability for all warranty claims under Australian warranty provisions.
Yesterday we exclusively revealed that Baumatic has been placed into administration with millions in debt.

An industry insider said “Some retailers in Australia are facing a major warranty hit if the local branch of the Company is closed down. Some retailers could be exposed for between $2 and $3 Million dollars. In Australia the Beaumaris subsidiary own and supply the Prossimo brand of white goods to Masters”
Founded in London during 1992, Baumatic is available in more than 40 countries worldwide, including Australia through Appliances Online, The Good Guys and Masters. The Company manufacturer’s ovens, cooktops, range hoods, microwaves, dishwashers, upright cookers, laundry, small appliances, with a focus on modern European styling.
Baumatic Ltd is currently “in talks with interested parties with a view to securing the future of the company.” a spokesperson for the Company said.
Earlier this year, Baumatic partnered with Alno Kitchens for the opening of a new showroom in Melbourne.
