Look out, Galaxy S III is coming – secret specs of the potent new skinnier Super AMOLED Plus HD Galaxy have been uncovered.
The smartphone will also be 4G ready and support near field communications (NFC), meaning mobile payments will be a reality on the Galaxy and will run on Google’s new Ice Cream Sandwich, the combibed tablets and shartphone OS.
But here is the really interesting bit – the Galaxy S III won’t feature a curved display (a la the S II), and the ‘design language’ of the phone will “differ” from the current Galaxy’s to avoid future legal issues, a clear reference to the ongoing patent war is embroiled in with iPhone creators, Apple.
And if the Galaxy S II is 8.7mm and III is tipped to be even slimmer, will we even be able to see the device?!
No more details are available on the size zero handset even though Phandroid appear to think the leak is pretty much spot on.
But if these details are correct, the iPhone 4S which goes on sale this Friday, and has already sold one million on pre-order could have a major competitor on its hands.
Samsung Galaxy S II was released here months ago, meaning Aussies should be one of the first to get their hands on III.
The handset is only going on pre-sale from T Mobile in US this week.
