The little car was revealed by Google yesterday.It’s the two seater car that drives at 25 mph.
But look inside and things are far from ordinary. Google revealed its plans to make self driving cars.
“We’ve been working towards the goal of vehicles that can shoulder the entire burden of driving”, writes Chris Urmson, Director, Self-Driving Car Project.
It drives at 25 miles per hour, has two seats and doesn’t require keys or a steering wheel. Instead, Google’s smart car uses buttons to start and stop, and a screen shows the route.

Google has been working on self driving cars for a while and is now building several prototypes, designed to operate safely without human intervention.
“They won’t have a steering wheel, accelerator pedal, or brake pedal, because they don’t need them,” says Urmson.
The car’s software and sensors remove blind spots, and they can detect objects out to a distance of more than two football fields in all directions, so it’s handy for city driving.
“And that’s an important step towards improving road safety and transforming mobility for millions of people,” says Urmson.
Google is planning to build about a hundred prototype vehicles, and later will run a small pilot program in California.
“If the technology develops as we hope, we’ll work with partners to bring this technology into the world safely,” says Urmson.
