Samsung has taken out top honours in Campaign Asia-Pacific and NielsenIQ’s “Asia’s Top 1000 Brands” study for the tenth year running.
Encompassing Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, the annual survey compiles consumer opinions across 15 major categories and 80 subcategories of brands.
Samsung has celebrated this year’s result as the most trusted brand in Asia, a position the South Korean tech giant has held for the past decade.
“Brands that emerge on the list are those who have succeeded in earning positive mindshare as being most trusted and well-loved by consumers.
“Notably, Samsung ranked high in 15 product categories in Asia’s Top 1000 Brands this year, up from 12 last year, and is the top brand in TV, cleaning appliances and smart home technology,” the company said.
The survey, conducted in April this year, canvassed 400 people in each country, with Japan, India, and China having 800, 1200, and 1600 respondents respectively.
