Samsung’s HW-K950 Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbar, designed to deliver immersive moving audio, has landed in the Australian market.The HW-K950, measuring in at 5.3 cm high and sporting a slim and sleek design, is decked out with 15 speakers, including four upward-firing Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, along with two rear wireless speakers.
Its design employs three forward-facing and two upwards-facing channels, producing “a rich, full sound that is big enough to fill the room, and detailed enough to deliver realistic audio, from a comet shooting across the room to a helicopter hovering overhead”.
“Whether listening to music, movies, TV shows or playing video games, Samsung’s proprietary Surround Sound Expansion Plus will ensure Australians enjoy multi-dimensional sound at home,” Samsung states.
The HW-K950 connects wirelessly to its paired subwoofer and the rear speakers, with Samsung stating that

it helps “to remove the need for ceiling-fitted speakers to achieve moving audio overhead”.
