The 14.2 megapixel Samsung ST600 and ST100 have received an upgrade to their front LCD screens, which now measure 1.8-inch compared to the 1.5-inch front LCD screens found on their 2View predecessors. The new cameras will also have a bigger 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen at the back.
The Samsung ST600 and ST100 come with Schneider KREUZNACH lenses, with the ST600 using a 27mm wide-angle focal length with a 5x optical zoom. The ST100 on the other hand, is the first Samsung 2View digital camera to feature an internal 5x optical zoom, which keeps the design streamlined and chic. In addition, both the Samsung ST600 and ST100 feature High Definition (HD) movie recording capabilities (720P).
Samsung Australia’s Digital AV Marketing Manager, Sagar Dave said, “Samsung’s range of 2View cameras continues to grow in popularity because our dual-screen technology is unlike any other feature found on digital cameras. Consumers immediately recognise the value of our dual LCD technology without the need for technical understanding because it’s a natural extension of what they’re already doing.”
“With our new 2View cameras, we’re looking to simplify the process of taking photos even further by providing larger and more vibrant LCD screens on both sides of the camera. With 14.2 megapixels, 5x optical zoom and HD movie recording capabilities, Australians will never miss a perfect picture moment, even if they’re not behind the camera.”
The Samsung ST600 and ST100 will be available from the beginning of October 2010 for RRP $399 and RRP $449 respectively.
