Samsung has acknowledged its Galaxy smartphones are prone to a security exploit.
The vulnerability allows certain applications to access the RAM, ultimately enabling them to read user data.
According to GSMArena, the exploit effects Samsung’s Galaxy S3, S2 and their Note 2. Recently Samsung announced 30 million Samsung Galaxy S3s and 5 million Galaxy Note 2s were sold globally,
Samsung pointed out legitimate applications available from Google’s Play store do not carry any risk.
The Korean company has promised to release a fix “as quickly as possible.”
