Industry sources have reported that sales of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S smartphone have surpassed the total for the iPhone 3GS in South Korea.
It
has been reported that accumulated sales of the Galaxy S have exceeded 900,000,
which is larger than the 885,000 iPhones sold in the country so far.
According to Tradingmarkets.com, the impressive sale was expected since it had
broken numerous sales records from the outset.
“SK Telecom in
said that it has sold 100,000 Galxy S units in just five days after its debut
and 500,000 units in 33 days, both records for the industry.”
“It said that at current pace, sales will break the 1 million mark in early
September,” said the website.
