With Justice Bennett nn the Federal Court set to rule this week on whether the 10.1″ Samsung Galaxy Tab can go on sale in Australia after Apple attempted to block the device, claiming it infringed Apple patents, the CEO of Samsung has come out in praise of Steve Jobs who was buried on Saturday.
The funeral for Jobs who has been described as one of the greatest innovators of our time took place in a private event at an undisclosed location in California on Friday.
Despite fighting legal battles against Apple in numerous countries, electronics giant Samsung CEO Choi Gee-sung paid his respects to the fallen technological innovator.
“Chairman Steve Jobs introduced numerous revolutionary changes to the information technology industry and was a great entrepreneur. His innovative spirit and remarkable accomplishments will forever be remembered by people around the world,” he said according to the Economic Times of India.
Apple is currently the largest individual buyer of electronics components from Samsung.
The company which was co-founded by Steve Jobs contributes to an estimated four percent of Samsung’s global revenues.
The two companies are currently engaged in twenty lawsuits around the world.
