Samsung Australia has revealed that it currently has 89 per cent market share in the 3D market and holds the number one position in total value share of TV sales.

According to GfK data, Samsung continues to hold the number one position in total value share from January to August 2010, while its 3D TVs hold an 89 per cent market value share from March to August 2010.
Samsung says that its sales success in Australia can also be attributed to strong support of 3D TV from its retail partners. According to a global Samsung study which polled 240 Australian TV retailers in May 2010, Samsung is the most recommended TV brand.
Samsung Australia’s Vice President, Retail Sales and Marketing, Michael Richardson said, “Consumers have continued to choose Samsung as their favourite TV brand in Australia because we offer the best in design and technology. Being first to market with 3D TV technology gave us a huge opportunity to own the category, with the results released today demonstrating what a success it has been.”
