Samsung has filed a patent for a robot that can breathe. Yikes.
The patent specifically refers to the robot as a “humanoid” that can breathe. Well, fake breathe.
The patent, which was filed at the United States Patent and Trade Marks Office (USPTO), describes a robot that monitors its balance, preventing it to adopt the hunchback position common to robots, imbuing it with an organic texture.
As it walks up and downhill, PerthNow reports it will continue to monitor its centre of gravity to ensure it remains upright.
The patent details rotating machinery in the robot’s chest that mimics human breathing.

What Samsung intends to use the humanoid robot for is unclear, but feel free to let your mind run free, right up to the ‘take over the world’ scenario.
