Samsung has pulled the plug on a proposed plan to purchase struggling memory maker SanDisk who in Australia refuses to let their local executives talk to the media.
Late in 2008 Samsung offered $5.5 billion for the Company which was rejected after Company executives at the time claimed the offer was too low.
The announcement to walk away from the deal comes after the two companies signed a patent-licensing deal in May that heads off the threat of litigation between them in the flash-memory chip market.
