Samsung Electronics launched the latest model of its modular display screen The Wall.
The Wall is over 1000 inches long, and features upgraded 120Hz frame rates, making it perfect for large retailers and shopping centres. It boasts the industry’s first 8K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Simple 8K playback.
A new Micro AI Processor uses up to 16 different neural network models, each “trained in AI upscaling and deep learning technology” to optimise picture quality up to 8K resolution, enhancing contrast and removing picture noise.
The Wall’s Black Seal Technology promises purer black levels and enhanced depth, with 1,600 nits peak brightness for peak performance in bright room environments.
Each LED is now up to 40 per cent smaller, for superior colour uniformity and higher picture contrast.
Wireless docking connections and no bezel makes it easier to install than last year’s model, and it can be hung in a number of positions: concave, convex, ceiling, hanging, inclined and L-type.
The screen also allows for four different pictures to be shown at once, from four different content sources.
“Samsung is dedicated to creating the most innovative displays for those at the forefront of video creation and brand experiences,” said Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
“The 2021 The Wall is our most immersive and versatile display yet, giving businesses complete control to create their dream environments.”
