Technology giant Samsung has rolled out nine new digital cameras including a new digital SLR camera that recognises your face and the world’s first 24mm wide camera that allows really wide pictures to be captured.
The Samsung NV24 is a 24mm wide-angle lens digital camera that has a Schneider-KREUZNACH lens capable of producing images at 10 megapixels, a 2.5-inch AMOLED screen that automatically adjusts brightness depending on lighting conditions, Dual Picture Stabilisation, and Smart Touch User Interface.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s S860 digital still camera comes in a variety of colours (pink, blue, black, and silver), has an 8.1-megapixel sensor, Digital Image Stabilisation, Face Detection, 11 Scene modes, and a Function Description Assistance that provides an explanation of all the S860’s features.
The company has also launched three new models in the L Series range – the L210, L110, and L100. The L210 has a 10.2-megapixel sensor while the L110 and L100 has an 8-megapixel sensor, sports a 2.5-inch TFT LCD screen, and comes with features like Function Description Assistance, Digital Image and Optical Image Stabilisation, Face Detection, and Power Movie function that captures movies in MPEG4 format.
The i8 digital still camera comes with a World Tour Guide that provides information on 2,600 famous attractions in over 30 countries – a travel guide built into the camera, can play MP3 music files, MP4 video files and text files, has a 2.7inch LCD screen, and comes with a Digital Image Stabilisation (DIS) function to reduce possible blur in low light environments.
Finally, the GX-20 is Samsung’s first attempt at the DSLR market. This DSLR camera has a 14.6-megapixel CMOS sensor, sports a specific dust and waterproof design with 72 gaskets and seals on various parts of the camera to minimise any internal damage to the camera, has an OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) built into the camera body for added stability no matter what lens is being used, supports a high sensitivity ISO 6400 in the user setting, and provide users with an ‘X sync socket’ for connection with an external flash. It also has a one-touch RAW & JPEG conversion button and is equipped with a high quality, 6.86cm (2.7 inch) LCD screen.
