Samsung is taking extreme measurements to keep the looks and specifications of its Galaxy SIII smartphone under wraps.
Gizmodo Brazil has posted images of, what their source adamantly claims, is the Samsung’s Galaxy S3.
The photos were taken, ironically, with an Apple iPad and indicate the S3 will undergo a subtle redesign founded on the DNA of its S2 predecessor.
According to GSMArena measurements, its screen will span 4.7″ and be HD quality, which seems probable considering the Nexus and Note’s display credentials.
On its back is a 12MP camera which symmetrically balances a single LED flash and a speaker grill.
It seems like the next generation Galaxy is maturing at a healthy pace. Although speculation on specs seem consistent enough, The Verge alleges the S3 pictured is donning a mock-exterior to keep its appearance a secret. Their source referred to them as “generic test boxes” and they allow employees to test the S3 in real life conditions without giving too much away.
“That’s not even close to the final design,” their source claims. “No leaks of the final design have been accurate.”
All will be revealed on May 3rd when Samsung hold the official launch.
