Samsung have released a new teaser video on the Galaxy S8 ahead of its launch next week. The 15 second video posted on Samsung’s Korean YouTube channel simply shows a man walking through a door with a similar shape to the Galaxy S8 as seen in recent leaks, which is set to feature significantly reduced bezels on the top and bottom.
According to The Korea Herald, the Korean text in the video translates to “Completion and a New Start”.
CNET reported the two square panes on the door could indicate that the Galaxy S8’s display will have a 18:9 aspect ratio, slightly ‘taller’ than the typical 16:9 of most other smartphones. LG also adopted an 18:9 display for its G6.
As seen at the end of the video, Samsung is set to officially launch the Galaxy S8 on March 30 in Korea, with simultaneous launches in New York and London. Australians can watch the announcement live on the Samsung website at 2am on March 30.
