Samsung is launching a pink and gold gradient Galaxy A8s FE that is ostensibly aimed at women, on February 14 in China.
Reportedly the Galaxy A8 FE does not stand for “Fan Edition”, like the Galaxy Note 7 FE, instead, it stands for “Female Edition”, which will no doubt set keyboards clicking on Twitter.
Samsung mentioned this version when the Galaxy A8s was originally launched in China, December 2018, there it was said to have been designed with women in mind.
The reportedly “feminine-focused colour” options include a pink and gold gradient and a blue and pink gradient — the blue and pink version in the images is missing a camera lens.
Apart from the “female” colour, the device is completely the same to the original Galaxy A8s, which is an interesting move for a major tech company to make in this day and age.

The Galaxy A8s is the first smartphone from Samsung to feature an Infinity-O display and is the first Galaxy device that doesn’t feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Specs of the Galaxy A8s include a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a punch-hole 24MP selfie camera with a triple-camera system on the rear, Snapdragon 710 with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage; all powered by a 3,400mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Galaxy A8s are currently only available in China, with reports saying that it may be launched in South Korea by the end of January and globally thereafter.
This new version of the Galaxy A8s will go on sale on February 14, aka Valentine’s Day, in China, pricing not disclosed. Whether it arrives in other markets has not been confirmed.
